The Hays Food Bank has been helping to feed the elderly on fixed incomes, low-income families with children, as well as the sick, disabled, and homeless since 1984. We periodically set aside a day to help with the pick-up, sorting, and distributions of food donations. The Food Bank also helps us distribute what we gather during our church food drives.
Texan Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
We visit residents at the Nursing Home in San Marcos every other week, including visiting those who are bed-ridden or running a game of bingo to engage with the residents and share the love of Christ.
Neighborhood Movie Night
Occasionally, we show a family movie in a local neighborhood and invite everyone in the area to attend. Movie Nights help us to engage the culture and be proactive in building relationships with our neighbors.
Ministry of Meals
We provide meals to families with new babies, as well as to families undergoing the trial of serious illness, surgery, or death.
Reynosa, Mexico
We join other churches in the area and our denomination for a week long trip to Reynosa to help with construction projects, VBS, ESL classes and other areas of service.
We have supported this local ministry that specifically helps widows and orphans in Africa through building wells as well as their marketplace where they sell goods made by African women.
