We currently have children’s classes for two age groups. As we continue to grow we will add opportunities for our older children, including a youth group. Both classes take place immediately after the worship service, during refreshments and clean-up. The classes lasts between 15-20 minutes.

In WORSHIP TRAINING we seek to train young worshippers (ages 3-5). During this time children will engage in a time of song, Bible and memory lessons, catechisms (questions and answers about what we believe) and prayer. The goal of this time is to instruct children in God’s Word and to teach them elements of our corporate worship so they can more fully participate with the gathered body on Sunday mornings.

Worship Training is a rotating three-year curriculum which includes the following:
The True Story of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit - This curriculum, broken into three sections, looks at who God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are throughout Scripture. The lessons include thoughtful ways to bring abstract concepts down to a concrete level for young worshippers.
The Jesus Storybook Bible - Engaging and delightfully illustrated children’s Bible by in which each story points to Jesus our Rescuer. Following the Bible lesson, children and teachers talk about the story, answer questions and conclude in prayer.
Beginning Catechism Club - Children are introduced to First Catechism (a question and answer method of learning the beliefs of the church) and learn questions 1-46 through stories and lessons.

Our young elementary children (ages 6-9) can participate in CATECHISM CLUB. Here the children spend the year learning the 150 question in First Catechism, which is based on the Catechism for Young Children: An Introduction to the Shorter Catechism. Catechizing is a systematic instruction using simple questions and answer for expressing and memorizing key elements of the Bible and our system of doctrine.

Each year the child participates in Catechism Club, their progress will be tracked and they will be given an opportunity to recite what they have learned at the end of the year. Those who learn the entire catechism will be encouraged to recite it in front of the church as this is a big accomplishment!
